In the first half of 2017, the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia continued with successful revenue collection of import duties (customs duties, value added tax, excise duties and fees) and collection of excise duty not only at import but in internal trade as well.

In the first half of 2017 Customs collected 36.8 billion Denars, which is 8.6% (nearly 2.9 billion Denars) more than the revenues collected in the same period in 2016, i.e. 5.7% (or about 2 billion Denars) more than the planned amount to be collected in this period.

Revenues collected per type, in the first half of 2017:

- VAT:22.05 billion Denars, which is 11.5%, i.e. 2.3 billion Denars more than the collected in the same period of 2016 and 6.3% more than the plan for VAT collection;

- Customs duties: 2.5 billion Denars, which is 8.9% or 204 million Denars more than the collected in the same period in 2016and 4.5% more than the plan for customs duty collection;

-  Excise duties: 11.9 billion Denars, which is 4%, i.e. 454.1 million Denars more than the collected in the first half of 2016 and 5.1% more than the plan;

- Fees: 307.7 million Denars, which is 6.6%, i.e.21.9 million Denars less than the collected fees in the first half of 2016 and 1.8% less than the plan.

The Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia, maintaining a constant trend of increasing the collection, expects to fulfill and exceed the plan for revenue collection in 2017.
