Customs Director General Gjoko Tanasoski, together with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Kocho Angjushev and the Mayor of Gevgelija Sasho Pockov met with businessmen from this region.

The meeting with the business community took place two days after a bilateral meeting between delegations of the Customs Administrations of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Greece as first steps aimed at establishing strategic partnership and strengthening the cooperation between the two countries in line with the Prespa Agreement and the Action Plan for Intensification of the Cooperation between the Republic of Greece and the Republic of North Macedonia.

Measures to support the competitiveness of the domestic companies laid down in the Plan for economic growth, the importance of the cross-border cooperation between the citizens and the companies from the two countries were discussed at the meeting  and the present exchanged their suggestions and thoughts on how to overcome certain problems pointed out by the representatives of the business sector.

The Customs Administration continues to promote its role as a reliable partner of the business sector and will continue to carry out its mission focused on promotion of the economic growth and development of the country.
