On 18 th February 2020, the Director General of the Customs Administration, Mr. Gjoko Tanasoski paid a visit to the Automobile Parts Factory Telamon, a factory that manufactures coupling machines, automatic cutting machines, strips, cutting and closing machines.

The company is one of the largest companies in the United States and its headquarters in Europe were opened in 2018 in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Director Tanasoski expressed satisfaction with the operation of the company and the progress of the investments and stated that the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia is committed and dedicated to the realization of the economic policies that create a better and attractive business environment for both domestic and foreign companies.

Telamon investment brings real benefits to our economy, creating new jobs, providing access to advanced knowledge and technologies, delivering a positive impact on export and GDP growth. Telamon is a great example which sends strong motivation for future foreign direct investment in North Macedonia, a successful company that shows that we are moving towards creating a strong economy with equal and stimulating opportunities for all companies.

During the visit, Director Tanasoski discussed further simplification of customs procedures and the beginning of local customs clearance at the plant site.

Director Tanasoski also visited the production plant of the company, where he had the chance to familiarize with the entire production process, getting acquainted with the advanced technologies integrated in it and the level of skills the employees have.
