Over the past three weeks, the customs officers detected several attempts for smuggling of various goods, seizing foreign cash, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, a passenger vehicle, semi-trailer, sanitary products and balloons.

Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs donated sophisticated vehicle search-related equipment to the Customs Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia. The donation was handed over by the HM Ambassador Rachel Galloway and the International Operations Director David Huntly at a ceremony held today, 8th May 2019.

On 23 April 2019, the Customs Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia promoted the authorized economic operator concept, its importance and the advantages for AEO companies  before the business sector and students of the Faculty of Economics at the University "Goce Delcev" - Shtip.

Over the past two weeks, the customs officers foiled several attempts for smuggling various goods, seizing cigarettes, insecticides, herbicides, automobile spare parts, tools, mopeds, apparel, glasses, cosmetics, perfumes, eau de toilette, smartphones, foreign currencies and counterfeits .

Customs Director General Gjoko Tanasoski, together with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Kocho Angjushev and the Mayor of Gevgelija Sasho Pockov met with businessmen from this region.
