On 9th November 2017, upon the initiative of the Chambers of Commerce and supported by several profiles of participants (importers, exporters, customs brokers and professors) a presentation of the a roadmap for amendment of the customs related regulations within a 5 year long period was organised at the premises of the Customs Administration.

On 31st October 2017, the customs officers of the border crossing point Blace, entrance section, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior seized nearly a ton of marijuana, which is the greatest seizure of drugs in one case in the Republic of Macedonia.

Last week, the customs officers detected several attempts for smuggling of various goods, seizing cigarettes, homemade brandy, leather jackets, natural fur coats, clothes and counterfeits.

On 27th October 2017, representatives of the Customs Administration had a meeting with representatives of the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Law and Human Rights in Syracuse, regarding the project “Strengthening the fight against illicit trade in South Eastern Europe”.

Today (25th October 2017), the Director General of the Customs Administration, Mr. Gjoko Tanasoski, together with the Minister without Portfolio, Mr. Zoran Shapurikj, in charge for legislation for improvement of the investment climate for domestic companies, had a working meeting with representatives of about 15 domestic companies at the Customs Administration. Representatives from other government institutions - Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Environment, State Market Inspectorate and the Public Revenue Office also attended the meeting.
