Today, the Customs Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia, in cooperation with the State Market Inspectorate conducted two raids targeted at illicit sale of cigarettes, cut tobacco and other tobacco products.

On 18 th February 2020, the Director General of the Customs Administration, Mr. Gjoko Tanasoski paid a visit to the Automobile Parts Factory Telamon, a factory that manufactures coupling machines, automatic cutting machines, strips, cutting and closing machines.

At a bilateral meeting held yesterday, the Minister of Environment and Water of the Republic of Bulgaria, Emil Dimitrov and the Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Nuredini talked about strengthening the control of the cross border movement of waste.

In the course of January the customs officers prevented illegal crossing of the state border of 4 migrants and several attempts for smuggling goods, including motorcycles, motor vehicle spare parts, clothing, women's handbags, footwear, statuettes, eyeglasses and cigarettes.

Thus, throughout 2020, under the slogan “Customs fostering Sustainability for People, Prosperity and the Planet,” the Customs community will be focusing on the common commitment to secure the international supply chain and to meet the modern and special needs of the people and the society. Safety, prosperity and secure and healthy conditions, necessity for guaranteeing ecological standards are the highlights, where the Customs Services together with other competent institutions and bodies act to ensure control, protection and facilitation.
