Binding Origin Information (BOI)

By issuing a Binding Origin Information (hereinafter referred to as: BOI), the producer of certain goods is enabled to obtain confirmation of the originating status of the goods produced in order to simplify the procedure for issuing or preparing proofs of origin (EUR.1, EUR-MED, invoice declaration or invoice declaration EUR-MED), ensuring the correct and uniform application of the rules of origin, as well as providing an adequate legal guarantee for the origin of the goods during the period of validity of the BOI.
